EVA IS SLEEPING

Gerda is a young single mother who grew up in South Tyrol shaken by the agitation of ethnic claim movements. While her brother joins a terrorist group seeking independence from Italy, Gerda has her personal battles to fight to emancipate herself from a repressive environment that coerces her to align with the codes of the traditionalist and conformist German community. Divided between the feeling of belonging to her community, the challenges of working in the kitchen of a luxury hotel, the motherhood and the love for an Italian military, Gerda will learn not to surrender and to deeply know herself.
